God of Heaven and Earth,
God who has made all that exists,
God who loves and God who hears,
God who is with us,
God who sent His Son to die for sinners,
God who raised His Son from the dead,
God who is returning in the sky at the end of time,
Thank you for life. Thank you for teaching me about love. God, thank you for helping those in need. Thank you for caring about orphans and widows. Thank you for creating beautiful things in life like marriage, community, and friendship. Thank you for your plan to rescue all rebellious sinners who are willing to repent.
Father, I pray for the Kurdish people. I love them so much. I love the Kurds for many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons of all is because of how amazing they are as a people group. God, they are smart, beautiful, creative, kind, and giving. I see so many of your character traits reflected in them as a people. I see your love in them in the way that parents love their children. I see Jesus Christ in them because He was rejected and despised wherever he went, and the Kurdish people have been rejected and despised wherever they try to live. I see your love for unity in them as a people because deep, deep down, away from all the global politics, they want to be united as a country with their own homeland.
Save these people, God of heaven! Save them and let them hear your Gospel. I am but one man crying out to you on behalf of these people who are so far from you, yet reflect you in so many ways. They will be cut off from you forever if they don't hear the good news in a way that they can understand it and receive it. I pray this in Jesus' name for Jesus' sake. Amen.
